For the past several years, there has been a growing concern with young adults and pedophiles engaging in consensual sexual activities with minors. These relations often lead to the impregnation of the victim. These crimes of statutory rape or incest are often committed by persons in a position of authority or trust. The assailants use their position of power to cover-up their crimes by coercing, intimidating or manipulating their underage victims into undergoing a legal abortion, therefore eliminating any evidence that through DNA typing would link them to the minor.

This Criminal Paternity DNA Specimen Collection Kit has been specifically developed for the collection of "known" DNA from the underage mother through buccal swabs and the surgically aborted embryonic or fetal tissue. This kit allows Law Enforcement Officials to identify the biological father through DNA.

Each kit is provided with detailed, step-by-step instruction sheets for medical and law enforcement personnel. The instruction sheets assure proper collection, preservation and documentation of collected specimens and assure a proper chain of custody is maintained for these evidentiary specimens.
